New Parts, and a car that'll do a barrel roll!

Finally got the car mounted on the rotisserie and got a couple new parts as well. Continue reading to find out what!

The last week I've been working on securing the car to the rotisserie.  As mentioned before it's not exactly a standard deal, so I had to do some things to make it work correctly.  Once it was attached to it, the car has to be balanced so its won't kill you trying to turn it over.  There are large threaded rods on each end of the rotisserie that position the center line of the car up and down.  Turning these allows you to position where the weight of the car sits.  Once it's properly balanced, it gets locked into place with pinch bolts.  I forgot to tighten them initially and almost had the car fly toward me when turning it over.  After they are good and secure, the jacks are used to actually lift the car up and down.

Now that it's up and on the rotisserie I removed the doors and found somewhere to put them in my already crowded shop.

Next steps from here are going to be getting it media blasted, then primed so I can start working on the floors.  I have been having some difficulty removing the dash pad from the car and if I can't get it removed, I wanted to see how much I'd have to protect it.  Since the existing one is beyond repair I found and ordered a dash cap.

This thing is made of a super flexible plastic and has the same grain finish as the original dash.  Once it's snapped over the existing one it makes the entire dash look brand new!  Putting this in place temporarily showed how much of the existing dash I'll have to trim (due to it curling up in some spots), as well as what areas the cap doesn't exactly cover.

Past that I started going to a few places around the area to see if I can find a local place to help media blast and hopefully paint it for me once I get to that point.  The main place I was looking at doesn't work as much on projects (like most auto body/paint places they are more insurance oriented), but they were super helpful and referred me to several other places that do project work.  Hopefully I can find someone that's a good fit and willing to help me out!

It's taken a bit to get to this point, but I feel like I'm finally making a bit of progress.

In light of a wrongdoing study, most criminals enter through unlocked windows or doors, lock picking and lock knocking and they pick houses that have no deadbolts or secure locking frameworks. slotenservice-rotterdam010.nl
