An old picture and a new place

A lots happened since I last posted.. Life tried getting in the way, and I tried making excuses.  Ultimately I was still working on the car, just not updating this blog as much.  Let's see what I can do to fill in the blanks!

So not long after my last post, my uncle sent me a picture of what the car looked like back when he first had it painted and finished putting it together.  You can see the definite 'muscle' car look in it.  This was the car I fell in love with as a little kid.

bask in its glory

I'm in the process of selling the house I was living in, which meant my garage was going away.  I ended up finding a roughly 1800 sq foot shop space that I'm splitting with a local business owner.  It's got plenty of room for more than one car. We'll see how much room I have once this thing has been pulled apart.  These things seem to take up a little more space once that happens.

This new space is only a couple miles from where I live and having it will enable be to focus more on the overall project instead of just trying to 'make room' for it in an already overcrowded garage.  I'll be able to set aside space to work on both engines (with all of their various parts and pieces) as well as tool and part storage.  Initially I had three cars in this space, but sold one to make room for the project as well as fund the purchase of a rotisserie and welder.  The picture below is most of my half of the working space.
